I tried a new palette knife technique to create a more dreamy, abstract feel. I clearly don’t have it mastered but I think I captured the effect and it coordinated beautifully with Emerson’s cake. Looking for some palette knives? Here is a great set for details large and small.
Funny story about the details is that I made all these butterflies and realized I had planned to make some of them #3’s. Lucky for me, I realized how pretty writing out “three” looked as the body of the butterfly. Another crisis averted that I otherwise may not have dreamt up.
Theme for the week is being vulnerable and owning up to “mistakes” that actually lead to beautiful outcomes.
